As Senior Owner of GMA / ATCHDQ, started training in Karate at the age of 4 and then switched to Taekwon-Do at the age of 7 with his step-father and older brother. He has been training for more than 20 years. As a child, Instructor Davis played baseball and soccer, but found he excelled in Taekwon-Do philosophy and patterns. He was born prematurely at 28 weeks, so from birth has been a natural fighter with a strong will. He is an excellent competitor, having won dozens of 1st place awards. He is a great fighter, but his true love is the techniques and fluidity of Taekwon-Do forms/ patterns. He has attended many Taekwon-Do seminars taught by Grandmaster S.J Kim and other Taekwon-Do grandmasters. Additionally, he is a certified AAU olympic coach and trainer.
Davis’ wife, Amanda, and son, Logan (following his father and 3 generations of martial artists), also trains in Taekwon-Do. He plays several instruments and is naturally musically inclined, which is a great asset in the rhythmic movement of patterns and the timing in sparring.
Davis continues to learn advanced patterns and other martial art styles from his step-father. Davis holds a 4th Dan in Taekwon-Do, 2nd Dan in HapKiDo, 2nd Dan in Kumdo, and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
