Master Suzan Crochet has run a school in Shawnee, KS since 1992. She is President of the Phoenix Group and is currently the Chairman of the Discipline and Reconciliation Committee for the ITF. She handles all the administrative functions for the Phoenix Group. She is the senior member of the Promotion Board for the and is an International Instructor, a Class A Umpire, and was designated All-Around Umpire at the World Championships in Ottawa, Canada in 2012.
Master Crochet participated in national and international competition for many years. She was a member of the United States team competing in European and World Championships in Russia, Scotland, Italy, and the United States. During her career in international competition she earned 11 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals in individual and team events. Master Crochet was the US National Champion on the USTF Tournament Circuit in 1992, and earned All-Around Female Champion at the European Championships held in Scotland in 1996.
She was the head coach of the USA Women’s and Jr. Girls’ teams which competed internationally in 1996. During her year as coach, the teams won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Her students have earned various medals and awards in national and international championships, including All-Around Junior Champion in 1993 in Italy and 1996 in Scotland.
