On Monday, March 6, 2017,  the Phoenix Group had an official black belt testing at Midnight Sun Martial Arts in Fairbanks, Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Hurben and their students have a lot to be proud of.  Promoting to the rank of 3rd degree Black belt were Ivy Packee, Brian Ely, and Conor Esselmont. Promoting to the rank of 2nd degree were Annaka O'Donoughue, Stuart Allison, and Sarah Waters. Promoting to 1st Degree blackbelt was Kyle Williams. Promoting to the rank of 1st Kup were Ross Esslemont, Callum Esslemont, and Ashley Lannet.  It takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice to achieve what each of you achieved at the testing.  Congratulatiions on a job well done!
